Many Golfers that come to GMS tell us that they’ve been told not to use their hands in the golf swing – “My Pro told me to take my hands out of the swing!”
Yet, that Pro might be telling you this because that is what they do in their own golf swing. Even though his/her problem shot is hitting the ball with a lot of power, albeit to the left. You on the other-hand are hitting the ball with less power (than you’re capable of) and off to the right.
Yes, the Pro might need to take his/her hands out of their swing to prevent hitting hooks to the left. However, your “Hot Issue” of hitting to the right might mean that you need more hands in your golf swing.
So taking your hands out of the swing is just going to make you weaker and having your golf balls flying farther right!!!
This week’s video will continue with last week’s theme of learning how to incorporate your hands so that they work equally with your body.
On the golf course, are there more Slicers or more Golfers that score above 90? While I’ve never completed a formal study … my guess is it would be a similar number.
This is not to say that all Golfers that score over 90 slice the ball and that all Golfers below 90 hit it straight. Though, there’s no doubt that slicing the Driver plagues more ‘Above 90 Golfers’ than those in ‘Below 90 Fraternity’
So, if that’s true … we’ve got some work to do on straightening your shots … especially your Driver!
