Although the Almenara Resort has 2 restaurants (1 in hotel, 1 in clubhouse), there are many local establishments that serve some of the greatest Spanish food in the world.  Many of these local restaurants in the coastal zone specialise in the freshest fish, shellfish, and BBQ dishes, along with traditional Andalucian cuisine. From Tapas to full meals - you can't go wrong!

The Rock of Gibraltar - the most famous rock in the world is located is located less than 15 kilometers from Almenara Golf Resort. On the clearest of days the views into Spain are extensive and the Morroco coast of North Africa is also clearly visible.
Malaga
Most Golfers will be flying into Malaga on their way to Almenara Resort. And if you do - it would be wise to extend your stay an extra day to explore all this city has a lot to offer. Well known amongst tourists and travelers around Europe, it one of the best cities in Spain to visit. The birthplace of Pablo Picasso, this wonderful Mediterranan city.
Malaga is known as one of the friendliest cities in Spain with several attractions worth visiting. Malaga is not only the perfect place to explore many historical monuments, little streets and squares with delightful café culture, but it is also a wonderful shopping centre.
In Malaga there is no shortage of places to eat and drink. From top notch, Michelin rated restaurants to the most humble tapas bar, there is everything in between. If you find yourself in a Malaga chiringuito (beach bar) then the traditional ‘espeto’ sardines cooked outside on a skewer is not only delicious, but also an integral part of the healthy Mediterranean diet. There are many other delicious fresh fish dishes to choose from on most menus and generally at a very reasonable price.
